Every year, I deliver a training series to the staff and faculty of a major university. This year, the challenge was clear: people felt powerless, anxious, and adrift in constant change.

Since I know they're not alone, I'm dedicating the next several posts to helping you and yours cope with these uncertain times with more freedom and optimism. I'll be highlighting excerpts from my book on this very topic.

And if you want more support for your organization or yourself - let's explore a keynote, webinar, training, or coaching. Get on my calendar here.

[Excerpt from The Work Happiness Method]

"When we face the unknown, it’s easy to worry about what will go wrong. But what if things end up being better than we ever imagined? What if the best-possible scenario is lined up and we just don’t know it yet? What if everyone is rooting for us? What if we’re actually way more supported than we think? Is it worth feeling crippled by anxiety and sacrificing our present moment, the only moment we really have? Often we suspend living until we resolve uncertainty . . . “once I earn the promotion, launch the product, finish the book, buy the home, etcetera, then I’ll be safe, happy, and relaxed and can breathe.” But all that time beforehand matters just as much. That’s our life. Using a playful mindset through change doesn’t just keep things feeling lighter but also helps us make better decisions...."

Coming up next...

I'll describe my personal experience of dealing with the most devastating unknowns. I distinctly remember saying to myself: "I don't know how to deal with this."

Let me know what's on your plate, what challenges you're coping with, and how I can help. I'm here for you.
